La natura che culla i ricordi della fanciullezza, che viaggia tra passato e presente, offre nei versi di Attilio Muscolino, un fluido scorrere del tempo, un insieme di profonde meditazioni filosofiche che testimoniano un grande amore per il Creato e il Creatore.
«Il poeta Attilio Muscolino – scrive nella prefazione Hafez Haidar – ama incondizionatamente madre natura, scrigno dei suoi sogni, delle sue brame e dei suoi sentimenti, musa dei suoi versi, ispiratrice delle sue riflessioni e delle sue immaginazioni. In essa cerca la quiete e la pace e trova la spinta per spiccare il volo verso le alte mete del pensiero e la forza per catturare le stelle e le alte comete».
I versi si ispirano alla realtà fenomenica in tutti i suoi aspetti, mai dimenticando che, come per la filosofia greca, l’evento che dà colore all’esistenza e, quindi, avente valenza comportamentale, è la morte. La morte intesa non come un precipitare nel nulla, ma come elemento armonico nell’Essere.
Scrive don Paolo Renner, nella Postfazione. «Le liriche di Attilio rappresentano in tal modo anche una sorta di terapia complementare. Ci guariscono dalla fretta, dalla volgarità, dalla prepotenza, per riaffidarci a rapporti garbati e delicati con quanto e quanti ci circondano e intessono momenti essenziali del nostro cammino vitale».
I versi trasudano, in maniera armonica, bellezza e bontà; infine alcune poesie sono arricchite dalla presenza di illustrazioni, a cura del maestro Giorgio Trevisan.
