Mademoiselle Gelsomina e la sua nipotina hanno un problema: la zia riceve troppi regali da un devoto ammiratore! Così tanti che spesso zia e nipote devono organizzare dei mercatini per liberare un po’ di spazio. I regali sono di tutti i tipi, da quadri, mappe e soprammobili a ombrellini da sole, dalle piante carnivore a un’oca da guardia e persino una zebra. Ma per il compleanno della zia l’ammiratore si è superato: in una gigantesca cassa regalo arriva un misterioso animale, subito ribattezzato Ultimo Regalo. Farsi carico di questo ingombrante ospite diventa un’avventura rocambolesca.
Un gioco di cui si fanno complici anche le illustrazioni di Andrea Antinori, vivacissime e spiritose, che giocano col testo e ci spingono a fare ipotesi sull’aspetto di Ultimo Regalo.
