Segnaliamo l’ultimo romanzo di Daniela Stallo, un giallo tra finzione e realtà che oltre a parlare dell’ecomostro Ilva di Taranto, ha il merito di mostrare le bellezze millenarie di una città martoriata.
Taranto, giovedì Santo, wind day. Il maestrale investe la fabbrica e sposta le polveri sottili. Lucrezia Saniva, fotografa per passione e commessa in una cartoleria per sbarcare il lunario, vive sola in una casa degli spiriti e dialoga col fantasma del commissario Maigret. A mezzanotte, prima della processione dell’Addolorata, un attentato all’Ilva ferma la città, i riti della Settimana Santa e colpisce alcuni membri della famiglia Volk, simbolo del gruppo siderurgico. Le indagini del dottor Iacovelli, col quale Lucrezia collabora, si indirizzano prima verso il gruppo che negli anni Settanta aveva fallito un attentato all’Italsider, poi verso esponenti di associazioni ambientaliste.
Tra rigurgiti di terrorismo, un furto al Museo e un’antica narrazione collettiva, si snodano semplici storie personali sullo sfondo di una città complicata e bellissima.
