Il curioso mondo a rovescio che Bianciardi ritrae nel racconto “La solita zuppa”, con l’ora di masturbazione a scuola e un Deliveroo del sesso, gli costò nel 1965 una denuncia per oscenità e vilipendio della religione. ExCogita ripropone qui il racconto nella sua interezza, completo delle parti allora censurate e in tutta la sua disarmante ironia, e ricostruisce, attraverso gli atti processuali, l’ancor più spassosa vicenda giudiziaria che vide Bianciardi imputato – non certo per la prima volta e non certo unico bersaglio del furore censorio – insieme all’editore e al tipografo.
Scrive Giancarlo De Cataldo nella prefazione: «Siamo sicuri di non essere circondati, noi che guardiamo a Bianciardi come a uno spirito libero del passato e pensiamo di essere, oggi, più liberi grazie anche a quelli come lui, siamo sicuri che questa de “La solita zuppa” sia una vicenda del passato? Siamo sicuri che in mezzo a noi non si aggirino altri spiriti, il cui obbiettivo è di imporci “questa parola sì, questa parola no”?».
