Un’avventura tra alberi parlanti, prove di coraggio e aiutanti magici per raccontare il valore della collaborazione e il rispetto per la Natura. Un racconto che affonda le sue radici nel folklore per lanciare un messaggio ecologico.
Come in ogni fiaba che si rispetti, si fa ricorso a frasi magiche: la filastrocca in rima che gli elfi dovranno recitare insieme più volte per affrontare le varie sfide funge da ritornello per favorire l’attenzione e la comprensione del messaggio anche nei più piccoli.
Le illustrazioni di Gloria Tundo, realizzate a mano con una tecnica mista di grafite e acquerello, si ispirano al folklore e alla relazione con gli elementi naturali, presentando tuttavia diversi rimandi alla contemporaneità. Le figure elfiche, per esempio, hanno una chiara connotazione umana e moderna, affinché i bambini non facciano fatica a vedersi rappresentati. Il tratto evocativo dell’illustratrice trova eco nella tecnica e nella palette impiegate.
