Questo volume non vuole essere una guida del cammino della Via Francigena né un riassunto dettagliato del viaggio a piedi che l’autore ha percorso da Canterbury a Roma. Vuole piuttosto essere un libro di condivisione di esperienze ed emozioni vissute lungo il cammino.
Il testo è diviso in due parti: la prima racconta che cos’è la Via Francigena, come l’autore si è preparato per affrontarla, le sue motivazioni e la tipologia di persone che si possono incontrare durante il cammino. La seconda parte, il diario di bordo, è dedicata alle emozioni, attraverso il racconto di aneddoti su fatti e incontri occorsi lungo la Via.
In ogni sezione è presente un QR code che rimanda a fotografie scattate e video registrati durante il viaggio, che renderanno più coinvolgente la narrazione.
